Job Description – Graduate Interior Designer

Contractor position – Part time

$30 – $40 p/h

Melbourne – South East – Frankston Studio

Projects based Melbourne wide

Small Boutique Company specialising in residential projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small fun design team, working on a diverse range of interior design and build projects. This is a part-time freelance position located at Von Haus design studio in Frankston, prime beachside location.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the principal designer, external suppliers and contractors
• Assist with design projects from concept to completion
• Production of working drawings, plans, schedules and specifications to assist with the delivery of design presentations and construction.
• Source materials and products to specify and produce sample/mood boards
• Furniture Procurement and documentation
• Research and follow industry trends to support the business.

 

Skills & Expertise

• 2-3 years of professional experience as an interior designer and relevant degree in Interior Design.
• Proficiency in Sketchup, Adobe Suite and CAD software.
• Exceptional design ability and a creative eye for detail as demonstrated in your portfolio.
• Experience liaising with suppliers and contractors.
• Experience in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, hand renders, furniture procurement and installations.
• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
• Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
• Must have own vehicle, current drivers license and laptop with current software.
