Only one week to go before my next Von Haus DIY colour workshop, just in time for the Mother’s day weekend.

Here’s a sneak peek at the products I will be showcasing. There are still seats available if you need a last minute Mother’s day gift. I have some very snazzy gift vouchers and will be handing out some great prizes too. Check out these products and come and join in the fun!

The Rug Establishment

The new signature series for 2013 is a mix of vibrant patterns, colour and texture. Handcrafted in NZ, these rugs are made with unique fibres and colours to create a wonderful statement for your interior floors. I am offering a special 20% discount on all rugs to those attending the workshop.

Funky Wombat Textiles

I recently met Tamara, the owner and designer of Funky Wombat Textiles, at a networking ladies lunch. I have a huge appreciation (and obsession) with handmade printed textiles and particularly those with animal references. As soon as I set my eyes on Tamara’s work I knew her style of fabrics would really suit my workshop. She has a unique design process and uses colour in very clever way. Tamara has been very kind in giving me a range of beautiful samples for my next workshop which I can’t wait to show you all.

Murobond Paint

This is only a snippet of paint colours that Murobond has to offer. The picture above is a selection of Sibella Court’s exclusive designer range. Murobond is renowned for it’s unique high-quality, water-based paints. They offer an exquisite palette of colour tones and finishes which makes them stand from other paint companies. I love using this brand as it allows me to be creative with colour and texture as well as being a sustainable building choice.

Other products I will be showcasing include the following list. I will blog more about these products soon.

Warwick Fabrics

Belladonna Digital Imaging

Scout House

The Bitch is Back

Freedom Furniture

Check out my latest mood board for April. I have put together an inspiring collage of colour trends relating to the colour green (which also happens to be colour of the year too).

Each month I will publish a new ‘colour of the month’ mood board  as a visual summary to help you keep you up to date with what’s happening in the world of interior design and colour.

Enjoy and let me know your thoughts and comments!

March was a really busy month with the launch of Von Haus Interior Colour Workshops. What a great success it turned out to be. I had a lovely group of ladies to attend my first workshop all bringing their decorating dilemmas with them. The problems ranged from outdoor rooms to bedroom colour schemes with a few living/dining spaces thrown in the mix too. It was a fun morning and everyone left with a completed colour board for their chosen projects.

I thought I would share with you some of the photos from the workshop. My next one will be held on the Saturday 13th April tickets still available online at Von Haus Design Studio.

In this picture I am showing the group a colour board that I would put together for my own interior design clients.

Everyone had plenty of fabrics and paint colours to choose from for their colour board. Murobond paints sponsored my workshop along with Warwick Fabrics.

Here I help a couple of the ladies with their colour boards after they collected all the materials they needed to solve their room dilemmas.

Sonja has a living /dining room dilemma. How do you merge the two spaces with the right balance of colour through paint, soft furnishings and art works? A common problem in most homes I come across.

One example of a completed colour board for an outdoor room by Monica. Love the use of yellow to highlight the space.

Rebecca beavers away at her colour board for her new house which is in the process of being built. Nice use of deep blues and red tones as a colour scheme.

And the winner of the best colour board goes to Heidi who created a beautiful bedroom colour board using a combination of silver, purple and whites. A great result and she gets to take home a litre of black chalk board paint from Murobond.

Finally all the hard work and planning has paid off and now I can continue to share my passion and knowledge of colour with you all in a fun and inspring workshop, helping you to create a beautiful home.

Check out the photos of the project below. We are now onto the decorating phase. This is where the fun really begins. Will keep you posted on the progress.
